Common Questions About Our Trademark Search Service

Here are some frequently asked questions about our Trademark Search Service. We’ve provided detailed answers to help you understand our process better.

A trademark search is an analysis of your trademark’s likelihood of success. It explores the current trademarks on the databases and aims to determine whether your application could face any challenges during the registration process.

Why is a trademark search important?

A trademark search is important as it helps identify potential challenges your application may face, such as similar or identical trademarks. This can prevent costly disputes and rejections.

A basic search only identifies identical trademarks registered for identical goods and services. An advanced search is more extensive, identifying similar and identical marks, performing a Companies House check, an internet search, a domain search, and providing a report and evidence of our findings.

How much does the service cost?

We offer a free basic search, limited to one per client. Our advanced search for UK/EU trademarks costs £175 plus VAT, and for US/Canada, it costs between £250-£300 plus VAT. Any other countries will vary, please schedule a Free Consultation with one of our trademark experts to discuss further. Please note, we can never guarantee these prices, every case is different and at times they may be more or less.

What does the advanced search report include?

The advanced search report includes the results of our search for similar and identical marks, a Companies House check, an internet search, a domain search, and a report and evidence of our findings.
