Purpose of this privacy policy

This website is aimed at businesses and adults we do not knowingly collect data relating to children. Its important that you do read and understand what we do with your data. So please do read it and where appropriate agree to its contents. Lawdit Solicitors is the Data Controller and it is responsible for your personal data. Michael Coyle is the data protection officer (DPO) who is responsible for overseeing questions in relation to this privacy policy. Changes to the privacy policy and your duty to inform us of changes
We review all emails requesting us to remove your data on a weekly basis but it is your obligation to keep us informed if your data changes ie move address or you wish us to remove or add to your data. Its important to everyone that your data is accurate and reliable. Its personal data, data with which you can be identified so please let us know by sending any requests to Mr Coyle at Michael.coyle@lawdit.co.uk.

The data we collect about you

If we collect data which identifies you then this is personal data. We don’t collect any financial data. Only data which can tell us whom you are! We also require ID such as a passport or driver’s license and this is retained for a minimum of 6 years. We do not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about you. Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.

In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality. your payment details are encrypted using SSL technology. We do not store your credit card details on our server.

As Solicitors we are obliged to retain your personal data for 6 years.
